Our branch is particularly proud of the success of its Scholarship Fund to aid exceptional women of limited means in seeking a four-year degree after completing their initial year of college. Students are selected from California State University San Marcos and Palomar College, and apply through their college.
CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY SAN MARCOS
AAUW-RB is working in partnership with the California State University San Marcos Foundation to annually offer two $1,500 scholarships. The funds for these scholarships are raised through the donations and fundraising of our members. The recipients are selected by CSUSM in accordance with approved university policies and procedures.
PALOMAR COLLEGE
AAUW-RB OSHER SCHOLARSHIP
Through the generosity of our individual members, necessary funds were raised to secure an AAUW-Rancho Bernardo Osher Foundation Grant for a $1,000 annual scholarship that will exist in perpetuity. The first recipient, a deserving woman, was chosen in June 2012. This scholarship is part of the Osher Initiative for California Community College Students. The scholarship recipient is selected by the Palomar College Foundation.
